Incident Management Programme
The KRIM™ programme is an interactive training programme for managers in the government sector, international organizations and the private sector, who are tasked with responding to critical incidents involving staff members who are victims of a kidnap for ransom or hostage taking incident.
The programme, which leads to the Level 6 Certification Kidnap Incident Manager – CKIM, is foremost aimed at managers who are responsible for crisis response in companies and organizations with an international presence in kidnap for ransom prone areas of the world.

Timo der Weduwen
KRIM™ Programme DirectorTimo der Weduwen specializes in managing risks in international high-risk environments, kidnap-for-ransom incident management and security training. He has managed specialist teams in these fields for several decades. He served for more than 30 years in senior positions with the Netherlands Police, the European Union and the United Nations in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and North America. First, as director of the Police Academy of Amsterdam and The Hague and later in his capacity as Chief Training for the United Nations Department of Safety and Security, Timo is a strong advocate for competency based dual-learning solutions, enabling students to learn in the classroom, but especially through mentored practice.

KRIM™ Programme ManagerRobert Goris (CEO of Prosectra) is an expert trainer with an excellent understanding - and hands-on experience - in developing and delivering specialized safety and security training courses to humanitarians, corporate executives and private individuals. With 6 years’ experience working in the medical field and now 15 years’ experience working in the field of security, the design, development and delivery of world-class safety and security training is what Robert specializes in and he has spent the last 12 years - with a special focus - on improving the safety and security of humanitarians working in the field. He has delivered safety and security training to international organizations in over 20 countries throughout 5 continents.

Kevin Taylor
KRIM™ Associate Programme DirectorKevin Taylor is a UK trained hostage negotiator and graduate of the FBI’s hostage negotiation program. His expertise is built upon years of communicating in the most difficult and challenging situations with hardened criminals as well as mentally disturbed offenders. As the former head of the Greater Manchester Police Hostage and Crisis Negotiation Unit, he has been and continues to be one of the driving forces behind kidnap for ransom incident management training both within the UK and globally. Kevin is a practitioner who brings a unique real-world perspective on kidnap for ransom incident management, being recognised as a leader in the areas of high-pressure negotiation, influence and persuasion, leadership and dealing with conflict.

KRIM™ Expert FacilitatorRobert (Rab) Christie is a UK trained hostage and crisis negotiator who is also KRIM™ trained & CKIM™ certified. Having worked as a specialist operator with over 30 years of military experience in high tempo situations, Rab has been involved in all aspects of kidnap and ransom incident management, including communication, planning and hostage rescue. Having served in numerous countries at all levels, Rab has worked alongside multiple agencies and military partner forces, providing training and mentoring. Rab’s experiences bring realism and a complementary perspective to the KRIM™ programme.

Cathy MacDonald
KRIM™ Expert FacilitatorCathy thrived on a fulfilling career with Police Scotland and for 30+ years served in both operational and supervisory roles, notably as a Critical Incident Manager, Firearms Commander and Hostage and Crisis Negotiator, Advisor and Coordinator. Within the world of hostage and crisis negotiation, Cathy deployed operationally to hostage situations, sieges and a wide range of incidents where barriers existed and communication had broken down. Working alongside FLOs she guided and supported families during kidnappings of loved-ones by international terrorist groups during phases of extreme anxiety and stress.

Accreditation
Prosectra Ltd is a Highfield Qualifications International approved Centre. Highfield has recognised the KRIM™ programme as being equivalent to a level 6, using the Ofqual’s Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) as a reference. The accreditation level denotes the educational levels of difficulty of the programme. Levels are awarded from entry level to level 8. A level 6 indicates that the KRIM™ Programme is at an advanced level, equivalent in terms of academic rigor to third year Bachelor degree.

The KRIM ™ Programme prides itself in keeping costs realistic and manageable for every individual and type of business and organization.
The fees have been tabulated based on the Programme’s operational cost and the estimated reduced losses (or lower KR insurances fees) a company or organization would enjoy, once certified kidnap incident managers are in place to improve kidnap prevention and response measures, and enhance the capacity to effectively manage a kidnap incident. The KRIM™ Programme has taken into account the financial situation of International Aid Organizations, their mandates and accountability towards their donors and beneficiaries.
